Last Weekend

This past weekend I took in the Renaissance Festival. Lots of costumed characters and olde world activities. Jousting with armoured horses and knights, a daily parade with royalty, footmen and jesters. Woodland fairies and lords and ladies. You are encouaged to drees up when you come. But they sell beautiful outfits there. it was also Pirate Weekend so there many of the scallywags about. Swash buckling and drinking of mead was called for, they even had a "talk like a pirate" contest. Many artist displaying and demonstrating  their wares such as candles, stones and gems made into jewelry.Pottery and glass-blowing. Wind chimes and Macrame.Wood working and blaksmithing and much more than I can list. Its a dreamy magical world. Enchanting is the perfect word.
